May 2009,The General Motors has contracted with eNVy Systems, Inc. to provide services and support for their computer systems running OpenVMS at the Torrance, CA Advanced Technology Center facility.  System & Operations, MANMAN Help-Desk, and Data Administration are among the systems and applications supported. System's & Operations, Administration and MANMAN help-desk support provided by eNVy Systems ensures the optimal performance of Oracle Codasyl DBMS, OpenVMS and layered products on the Compaq DS20 systems.

Jun 2009, Technology Center, Torrance, CA selected Charon Hardware emulation SMA Plus to replace the Compaq DS20 system running the OpenVMS operating system. The decision to implement Charon/Alpha SMA Plus Hardware Emulation was motivated by the increasing cost of maintaining hardware support, and the age and reliability of the Compaq DS20. Moving the OpenVMS system to Charon SMA Plus hardware emulation permitted a migration to a newer generation HP/Workstation (Intel) computer running Microsoft Windows.
